When you dive into the digital world of art, there is a shitload of stuff that you could may have a use for. Everyone throws their tutorials at you until you feel like you're drowning. Do this, do that, there are rules to follow for this specific yz. And never ever do x.

For beginners I advice only one thing: Do whatever the heck you want to do.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great tutorials out there and if you already know where you want to lead your way to, you can easily look those up. But also keep in mind, that's just one of many ways of approaching it.

The tutorials I saved in my favourites are merely guidelines. For me the world doesn't revolve around them.

Some artists also claim "Hey I already made the experience for you, that's not gonna work" Noone really can make experience for someone else. And if you find out, you'll need to make your own. One thing everyone's right with though is the following:

Without practice, you won't progress. And that's a pretty long road to drive along.

I for myself am still not as good as I wish it to be. I still need hours for something someone else would do within minutes. But that's just another proof that practice pays off one day.
I'm not giving up and so you shouldn't give up either. :>
